Figure Drawing Workshop
This Figure Drawing skills workshop with professional artist Nick Cuthell will introduce you to different techniques and approaches to drawing the human figure from life. We will have a professional life model during the whole session.
Learn some skills and structure for approaching a Life Drawing session (like our weekly Thursday nights at Jazzbourne!). Build your confidence and enjoyment of drawing figures and learn how to get the most out of having a life model.
This workshop will cover topics such as gesture, proportions, anatomy, tone and materials (including the opportunity to try drawing with charcoal).
All essential drawing materials will be provided, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
Nick is a friendly, encouraging tutor and an inspirational artist. There will be lots of practical demonstrations.
This workshop is designed for all levels of experience. For beginners or first-timers you will learn techniques and tools to get started and begin having fun drawing from life. For those with more experience, you will learn Nick’s methods, refine your technique and grow your repertoire of tools and approaches to drawing the figure.
We will take some short breaks throughout the 3-hour workshop, and afterwards there will be time to share and mingle.
Drinks will be available to buy at the bar throughout (no cash accepted at the bar, card/contactless only please).
