Swing Dancing
Every Thursday at Jazzbourne we have an evening dedicated to the original swing dance – the Lindy Hop from the 1930s and 40s. There is a drop-in class for beginners from 7pm-8pm, followed by a free swing social with beginner-friendly swing tunes, space to dance and drinks available at the bar.
Expect a fun and relaxed atmosphere in a groovy speakeasy-style location. Come to try swing dancing for the first time, to practice what you know, social dance or just have a drink & chat!
This weekly event is hosted by swing dance school JazzMAD. Tickets for the class can be pre-booked through their website or purchased at the door.

About the Class
The evening begins with a Lindy Hop lesson for adult beginners. Learn how to Lindy Hop from scratch with award-winning swing dancer Sharon Davis. Lindy Hop is the original swing dance from the 1930s and 40s – it’s the happiest dance on earth! This is a 1-hour beginner level dance class, no experience needed. You don’t need to bring a partner because we will rotate partners in class, so you will dance with lots of people. It’s a great way to make friends.
This is a drop-in class, not a course, so these classes can be taken in any order. Start any time and drop in to these classes whenever you want. It doesn’t matter if you miss a week or attend irregularly. Walk-ins are very welcome.
